Equity Mutual Fund Inflows Surge 56% to ₹40,450 Crore in March; SIP Hits Record High

In March, inflows into equity mutual funds surged 56% to ₹40,450 crore—an eight-month high.


     Inflows into small-cap funds surged 61% to ₹6,264 crore. Meanwhile, SIP                 investments rose 7.5% to reach a record high of ₹32,087 crore. 


The month of March proved to be quite robust for equity mutual funds. During this period, investments surged by 56% to reach ₹40,450 crore—the highest level recorded in the last eight months.

Large-cap funds witnessed a 42% increase in inflows, reaching ₹2,998 crore. Meanwhile, investments in mid-cap funds rose to a record high of ₹6,064 crore.
The most significant growth was observed in small-cap funds, where investments jumped by 61% to ₹6,264 crore. Additionally, SIP investments also rose by 7.5%, reaching a new record high of ₹32,087 crore.
